18kt Yellow Gold and Sterling Silver Coin Pendant Necklace By Artist Douglas Magnus. This necklace features a 18kt yellow gold coin stamped ‘SFNM’ reverse side ‘PLVS VLTRA’, Latin translating ‘Farther beyond’ and is hung diagonally on the corner with a gold bail. It measures 3/4 inch x 3/4 inch and is 20 inches.

Douglas Magnus moved to Santa Fe in the late 1960s, following his childhood in Los Angeles, California, Silverton Colorado, and a formative two years with the U.S. Army in El Paso. Magnus lives and works in Santa Fe New Mexico and is a renowned Santa Fe Jeweler. He is also a prolific painter while embracing numerous subjects such as interiors and figurative works while partial to plain air paintings created on site at his mines. Magnus uses the finest silver, gold stocks, and methods ranging from the most ancient to the most contemporary to create his pieces. He is well known for his turquoise creations that are often featured from Doug’s own mine known as The Tiffany Cerrillos Mine. The mine is located 17 miles outside of Santa Fe.
