Alvarez Perez is a 5th generation Navajo silversmith. His great, great grandfather is credited with teaching the Zuni tribal artists how to do silversmithing. His father is the renowned, award-winning artist White Buffalo.
After Perez attended college and came back to Sedona and began his career as a jewelry artist working with his grandfather’s tools. His style is to use the traditional Navajo designs mixed with a contemporary look. When working with stones, Perez looks for the beautiful and rare pieces of turquoise to compliment his fine silver workmanship.
