Bernadette & Arthur
Bernadette Marquez is a native New Mexican raised in Santa Fe. She shares her life with her husband and award-winning Santero artist, Arthur Lopez and their two sons. She works in Precious Metals with a focus on Sterling Silver Jewelry. She incorporates her husband’s hand painted and/or hand carved images in her work which transform them into wearable art. Bernadette’s work is included in many prominent collections throughout the country and is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art. She has won many awards at Spanish Market including two collaboration awards with her husband Arthur Lopez.
