Grandmother ‘Hahay-I-Wu-Uti” translates into “pour water woman’. She represent the pouring of life around the world. She is the wife of Euototo the chief of all Katsinam. It is a Hopi tradition for all infants to be presented with a flat form grandmother katsina doll (tihu) when they are born. This carving is 10 1/2 x 4 inches.
