Navajo artist Leslie Nez was born and raised in Twin Lakes, New Mexico. He is a self-taught silversmith and has been making jewelry for the past 30 years. Leslie specializes in traditional style Navajo jewelry. He is known for his silver scroll work and only works with natural stones. He has said his favorite stones to work with are Royston and Kingman Turquoise. Leslie enjoys creating squash blossom necklaces to carry on the tradition of his Navajo heritage.
