Astley Clarke

Challenging pre-conceptions and pioneering modern approaches is second nature to Bec Astley Clarke. From an eclectic childhood surrounded by geneticists, politicians, travelers, artists and mountaineers to starting Astley Clarke from her drawing room, hers is a tale of never taking no for an answer. With an MA in Politics and Philosophy, Clarke has worked for some of the world’s finest luxury brands. Although Clarke has spent much time living and working in Hamburg, Paris and Milan, London is truly her home.
In December 2013, Clarke was awarded an MBE for ‘Services to Jewelry’ by Her Royal Majesty the Queen. The name Astley Clarke is synonymous with butterflies; her grandfather’s collection was housed at the Natural History Museum. Clarke wanted to incorporate her family heritage into the brand, which is why you will see elements of the butterfly in her monogram.
